People were attracted to Him because He was a lamp on a stand instead of under a basket. He was the city on a hill in full view of everyone. He knew that salt in a container on a shelf was of no use to anyone. The salt of the earth had to be out coming into contact with people to have an effect on them. “In the world but not of it” appears a great paradox until an examination of the life of Jesus is undertaken. I don't want to just trust at face value the Democrats or Republicans or Hollywood or even the Aggies with what it means to be a good American, or consequently just a good person, but neither can I indict them without also indicting myself.
